The New School Atmosphere
The door swung inward. I stood and breathed
The new school atmosphere.
We moved in from a town, in the country.
Not, as if anyone knew where it was.
I knew that it would be hard to make friends because,
Everybody, who was a somebody, knew everybody. Where we came from
I wasn’t here by myself. There were three of us.
Julia, was 12, I just turned 13. And Jack, well Jack, he was also 13.
Luckily, we were all in the same class.
We were all nervous. Jack was on my left, and Julia, on my right.
This was the way that we enter any school. Hand-in-hand.
As we walked, we felt like there were a million eyes staring at us.
We were kind of use to it by now.
We were like a team, Julia had the Brains, Jack had the style
While, I was outgoing, and the leader.
Our first class was English. I wasn’t good at that.
Julia was good at Maths, and also hated English.
While Jack was the best, we always copied his answers
We had a teacher called: Mrs. Roberston
She looked kind and generous, luckily, she didn’t ask us any questions.
We stuck together all day, what else would we do?
When we got to our knew home, I stopped and breathed
It smelt and felt like home.
I knew that we would enjoy being here.

The World is a Beautiful Place!
Can you hear the lorikeets or, the water rippling down the stream, how about, the animals talking to each other? These are some of the most beautiful things in the world.
There are many beautiful things, some, man-made and others natural. Diamonds, Rubies and Emeralds are found underground. We have to dig them up. In the sun, they shine like a rainbow, glitter like the clear stream and sound like the humming birds.
Pearls are found under the sea surface, in oysters. When you hold a pearl, they shine like the ocean, sound like the rippling waves and feel like the soft, cool breeze.
Nature can bring you fantastic beauty. Found in all parts of the world, there are many treasures to behold.
The springs in the rainforests, are trickling down their path, and fall down dramatically as they become the waterfall. Down, down, down, they go and start trickling once they hit the bottom.

The Two Car Theives
Luke: Why are we being followed?
John: Don’t look back; we need to get to the hideout! I can’t shake him!
Luke: Maybe we should call the Police.
John: And say what. We are two car thieves and we would like to report ourselves!
Luke: You said it boss! ‘dials 000 into mobile phone’
John: ’whispers’ That kid certainly has a way with me.
Luke: Police please. ‘pauses’ Hello, I am Luke and I am a car thief. I would like to
report myself and my partner. Could you please pick us up at the corner of
Carillon Street?
Police man: ‘on the other end of the mobile’ Could you please repeat that, I mean,
are you pulling my leg or what? Let me get this straight. You and your
partner are car thieves. You are calling the police station to come and
help you?
Luke: That’s right.
Police man: Why?
Luke: Because we are honest thieves and we don’t want to have to get into any
trouble for what we have done. Could you please hurry up because the owner
of this car is coming after us!
Police man: I will be meeting you guys at Carillion Street in 2 minutes.
Luke: Thanks. ‘call ends’
John: So, what’s happening, kid?
Luke: That policeman is picking us up at Carillion Street, in a few minutes.
John: Oh bother. Here we go again!
John: Don’t look back; we need to get to the hideout! I can’t shake him!

Diary Entry in Space
I wrote this Diary entry to show people that we could be living in space with weird creatures because we are killing our planet.
1st of October 2020
Dear Space Diary,
Today is the first day that we, living humans are going to be living in space! I am writing this on the spaceship as we are coming out of Earth’s atmosphere. The reason for this dilemma, there are no more trees to sustain human life and movement. Some people wanted to stay on Earth, and we were not the only ship to go. It carried 500 people! There were still 50 000 more loads to be done, with only 20 spaceships!
Anyway, back to the story.... We were not allowed to bring any electronics; including mobile phones, cameras, computers or Wii! I was fortunate; they made a special exception to me... I was allowed to bring Cutie, my mate Cutie. Cutie is a Burmese Cat, with white fur, lilac ears, face, feet and tail. They made this exception because they needed to have the first cat in space. I was randomly chosen when I said to the space officer, “I will not go, I will have to leave my darling Cutie behind! My darling cat is the only thing that I could ever live for!”
The officer said, “Bring her here, and she will make herself be the first cat in SPACE!” I was so excited!
After leaving Earth, we could see a distant, giant space station. This would be our home for the next hundred years! When we first arrived at the Space Station, there were droids, just like the ones on Star Wars! This started to freak me out, but, I knew that this was not the end, nor the beginning of a hectic day! We unpacked our things in a tiny room that enlarged itself! I believe that it was pretty cool to have a room fit to the size that we wanted.
It was then time for lunch.
Lunch was more horrid, that what I thought it would have been. There were droids serving lunch. There was a choice between moulded Shepherd’s Pie or Bread and Water. The Pie didn’t look so bad, and I ate it all the same. When I went to sit at a table, I politely asked the gentleman if I may join him. As he did not answer, I sat down at the table. He grunted, and didn’t lift his head. Approximately 5 minutes later, the man raised his head, we was a Chewbacca. A Chewbacca is like a shaggy mat. She/he is about 2.5 meters tall, has dark brown fur and is known very well for ripping off arms of people that they don’t like!
I was about to walk off when the Chewbacca told me to sit down, in English! I was so surprised. The Chewbacca introduced himself as Magwar. He told me how he came to be upon this Space Station, and how he had not talked to me when I first sat down. He told me everything. About how bad it is out here in space, and how he has come to save me from any harm!
At first, I did not believe Magwar, but when he showed me a picture of me, and his special ID card, I knew that he was not a fraud. Magwar is his real name, but everybody calls him War. He is an agent on a special mission, to save me from the empire. He babbled on this for hours. He told me where his sleeping quarters are. They happened to be right next to mine!
Magwar and I became really great friends. It is time for lights out, and I hope to write more in you tomorrow!

The Dark Hills Divide
Background Info. on Other Characters
Society – simple and passive, years behind the wall had blinded these people to the
world outside, but the wall had taken more than their freedom to experience
the outer world. Alexa thought it had stolen their ability to figure out the
truth. The people of Bridewell trusted everybody. They had a very safe
society. The first time suspicion was seen, (except for Pervis, about Alexa, of
course) was in the final chapters of the book. Their Income came from
repairing books.
Wall construction – 10 years to build – 42 feet high (12 metres)
Bridewell - 2 miles circumference (3.2 km long) 3 feet wide (1 metre)
Wall is 20 feet high (6 metres)
Summer Population =15 guards, 60 men, women and children.
Thomas Warvold
Brains of Bridewell. The birth of Warvold set in motion events that his death must now bring to a close. Warvold chose Alexa to accomplish this task. He was poisoned by Sebastian, an old man, mysterious, weary and crumpled. A great adventurer in his younger days and the stone looked into the future a talked of evil forces. Loved his wife and child and wanted to protect them from evil! He was late to fatherhood. He thought that the dark forces were from the Dark Hills, when it was the wall itself. Loves everybody, helps every one when he has the chance. Convicts should have been rehabilitated after 10 years of hard labour, into the Bridewell Society; instead, Warvold abandoned them back to Ainsworth and from there, to the Dark Hills.
Renny Warvold
Died 2 years after walls were completed, knew that Ganesh was Sebastian ‘criminal from Ainsworth who helped build the walls’, tall, slender, good teeth, mysterious, beautiful, fantastic artist (great at hiding details in Jocasta’s). Put glowing stones into pool, in the dark hills, that helped humans communicate to animals.
Nicholas Warvold
25 years old, born just prior to wall being built, mum died when 12.
James Daley
Alexa’s dad, mayor of Lathbury, unworried, kind, determined, generous, loves wife and daughter and very protective about Alexa, wife, town and wall. He is a pacifist.
On – Sebastian, he would be a low profile person!
Alexa Daley
12 years old, knowledgeable, intelligent, bright, sneaky, kind, always on her toes, causes trouble wherever she goes, spirited, courageous, willing, very active, energetic, brave, sweet and above all, adventurous and determined. Alexa has skinny arms, knobbly knees, sandy-coloured hair (which she keeps in a braid nearly all of the time), sparkling eyes and a sweet face. Stole a spyglass off her mother, hates Pervis for destroying spyglass. Good at chess, loves games and her dad. Very talkative, loves to help others and does not order others around. Sometimes felt alone, afraid, scared and upset, a thief, troublemaker and liar.
Pervis Krotcher
He worked with Warvold prior to the walls being built, important because, therefore, Pervis cannot be Sebastian.
I haven’t had a holiday in 20 years! He had a rough, unhappy childhood. (Aged over 40) Captain of the guards, jealous of Alexa, follows her around, mean, short and wiry, dark eyes, eyes reminded Alexa of a rat, stared a lot, has a moustache, energetic, unimportant (when young), beaten by drunk father and other kids. Hates everybody, loves no one, had no money.
Reason to change in Pervis’s attitude was Alexa’s father pointing out that Alexa will
lead Bridewell, with Nicholas, and he will serve under her.
Taken under the wing of Warvold, who taught him how to become Captain of the Guards, spent whole life watching over the city of Bridewell, very intelligent, smart, protects Alexa at end, becomes nice to her (her champion) and loves her for who she is.
Grayson
A Kind librarian who assisted Warvold in reading and leading the quiet lifestyle.
Sebastian/Ganesh
Ganesh – Heart of Bridewell. Towers over Pervis, piercing blue eyes, love Alexa? Held my hand, warm, big and safe, spoke with a wonderful deep voice, dry wit, amusing, sarcastic, Grandfatherly love, sentimental mayor of Turlock (in one year, Turlock went from 200 people to 1,000 people), restless and enjoys freedom (never married). He poisoned Warvold.
On - death of Warvold, Ganesh held Alexa tight, she had a downcast spirit so he sat quietly for a few minutes, hardly any words spoken.
On – Cats, I love these cats, so calm, gentle and patting. They were traitors to Bridewell.
On – Alexa, I know you love sneaking around the place, as long as no one gets hurt.
On – Pervis, he is very good at protecting Bridewell, his guards are always in top form, his reports are excellent, he works tirelessly and he is paranoid about the outside.
Sebastian – maybe a convict, somebody on the inside that knows more than what they are telling, someone who is looking for more power, disgruntled, crafty, giving orders, making men ready, brilliant serpent that he is vile criminal.
Life in the Forests Outside the Walls
Yipes – Small man, 1st test, fed Alexa and she spent overnight. Grayson and Warvold
had befriended him. Grayson named him from pictures they found in a book
Darius – wolf, 2nd test for Alexa
Malcolm – rabbit, 3rd test Alexa
Odessa – wolf, wife of Darius, lives with Sherwin
Sherwin – son of Darius, 2 month old when wall built and separated from father
Hawks – Patrol and bring information
Ander – grizzly bear, forest king, only hope is to bring down the wall
Murphy – squirrel, messenger between Alexa and Yipes, then onto Ander
Map – showed brown and black lines, brown – above ground, black – below ground (underneath)
Elyon – in the stones lies the answer why Elyon created us, why he created this place and where he has gone. Elyon is on the move, his return is imminent.
Stones – allows holder to communicate with animals, Yipes, Alexa, Warvold, 3 with Convicts.
Convicts
They were freed from Ainsworth after working hard for 10 years on the wall. They numbered 200 or so people. They were tired of living in tunnels and wanted to take over Bridewell and organise a trade route to Turlock and Lathbury. Said they were impatient to wait for Sebastian to give the order to invade. They wanted to do it now.
Other Questions
Do you know where the rock pool came from?
Do you have any idea what happened to Renny Warvold?
Who is Elyon?
Where can Elyon be found?

The Silver Donkey
Strengths
Pg 97. The whole chapter ‘The Front.’ The soldier really wanted to get home, and he put himself in danger when we walked away from the war because in the war it was important for the freedom of his country and family to win against the German Invaders.
Monsieur Shepherd was a brave man because he could have been killed or shot in the war
Pg 31. ‘The soldier, though chilled to the marrow, lost and blind, grinned into the trees.’ He was brave when he first met the girls because he was alone, lost and frightened in the forest, in a foreign country. He did not try to kill the girls or harm them in anyway because he needed some help.
Pg 31. ‘The soldier did not want to think about a sea that was too wide to swim.’ The soldier was very brave because he knew that the Channel was very wide and he could not swim it. Whatever it cost, he wanted to get home to see his younger brother John.
Pg 96. ‘”Whatever you think is best, Pascal.” Said the soldier quietly.’ This is strength because he knows that one more person could tell another person and then, he might be sent back to the war. He was very brave when he said this because he might be sent back to the war, and he may not ever see his brother, John again.
Weaknesses
The soldier should have stayed at war because there are men, women and children that need the war to be won. Or else the opposition will take over the country and kill all of the people. The more fighters that were there – at war – the better it would be because, all the people would not die.
Pg 23. ‘This time, though, he hadn’t asked permission to return home. This time he had simply turned and started walking, one foot in front of the other.’ This shows that the soldier is a coward because he cared more about his brother than the war and the rest of his country.
The weakness of the soldier on pages 35 and 36 are that he took on the responsibility of going to the war. He was happy when he was warm, well-fed and comfortable, but, he left when it became cold, lonely and uncomfortable. He took on the responsibility of going to war and he had made a bad decision for going AWOL.
Pg 68. ‘The rain doesn’t bother me,’ the soldier assured them. He had been soaked to the skin, many times in the war. He had spent months sloshing through quaggy trenches. ‘I’m use to it.’ This is a weakness because he should have been at the war because he had been there for a long time and he should have stayed there.
Pg 95. ‘Pascal says to him, ‘I might have to someone else that you are here.’ The soldier nodded though he felt his heart sink, he heard his bitful freedom fall apart... Someone would realise that the soldier’s eyes weren’t actually blind, but simply tired of seeing.’ This weakness in this point that he hates the war so much that he would do many things to ensure that he does not go back.

All Zoos should be closed - Oral
This is an oral about Zoos and they they are not helping the animals. The only zoos that are doing saving the animals are the one's that have breeding programs for all animals!
“We cannot glimpse real life in a caged animal; only the shadow of its former beauty.” Julia Allen made this remark. It is the central point of this argument. Animals are being kept in a cages the size of a small Telephone box! This is so much less than their original expansive native wild habitat. Many Australian zoos are keeping the cages in good condition but, in other countries, zoos have been known to chain some of their animals to ensure they don’t escape!
In Indonesia, many zoos have small cages which are not being cleaned properly. Caged animals are not taken our for a nice walk to stretch their legs. Many, are starving because they do not have enough food and water. Some animals are forced to entertain visitors, while others, - sick animals - are being eaten alive by maggots.
“An individual animal doesn't care if its species is facing extinction – it cares if it is feeling pain.” Ronnie Lee explains. Several endangered animals have died after eating lollies and ice-cream thrown by the public into their cages. Some humans have even fed them worse, i.e. cigarettes – just for fun! Are humans actually causing extinction patterns by heedlessly destroying habitats, e.g. Mountain Gorilla’s in Rwanda (Ru-anda)? They may provide cages for the animals but is it good enough?
Some zoos are just cruel. In a Chinese zoo, a tiger has had its canine teeth pulled out! This animal suffers for life. Now, it cannot tear at red meat - its usual diet - the poor Bengal Tiger is close to death! At the same zoo, they put a metal ring through the nose of a Black Bear. This is very sad. When the bear turns around, the metal ring makes the nose tissue swell. The bear cannot breathe properly and may die from a lack of air.
Don Waters states “Animals should be set free and humans enclosed.” This quote expounds the theory that animals have their own right to be free! Animals become stressed by captivity. We take for granted that we humans have a right to be free but, we do not seem capable of allowing animals have their freedom.
Bill Travers stated: “The saddest thing about zoos is the way they drive animals mad. Much of the behavior we take for granted in zoo animals – repetitive pacing up and down, head banging, obsessive paw swinging, or just plain moping – is actually psychotic (sigh-cot-ic), the sort of thing humans get driven to when they are kept in solitary confinement.” This is enormous worry has to be heard! Animals should not be stressed. They should be set free.
Many animals live in family groups. They have a right to come home every night. If we remove them from the wild, the animal’s family will mourn. A similar mourning to that we humans feel, especially when those close to us leave or die? Have you ever thought about that? Animals suffer because they are stressed by captivity. They love to live in the wild!
All zoos should be closed. Many animals are being kept in poor conditions, harshly looked-after and stressed by their captivity. Animals should be able to run free in their natural environment. Living their lives to the fullest! Making their own choices as they travel through their own habitat.

Save the Forest!!
I wrote this story to show humans that we are killing animals and their habitat for no reason!
Water was rippling down the cool Australian stream. There was a hole, in this rainforest, in that hole was a platypus called Bob. He was doing his chores when he heard a strange rumbling sound. The sound came closer and closer by the minute. Sarah slithered her head into his hole that was now turning into an earthquake.
“Humans!” cried Sarah as she hissed like the snake she was, “with big machines!” Then they heard a splash!
A head popped up from underneath the crystal clear water.
“Thank god that it is you!” exclaimed Bob who had almost fainted.
“’Ribbit’, Hi Sarah, Bob,” said the hopping frog, whose name was Freddie, “can I come in?”
Bob had walked back further into his cozy hole, than Freddie expected. Bob’s reply sounded very distant, Freddie could not make out what he said. The snake and frog entered anyway. They found themselves in a very poorly-lit room, all of the chairs were covered in moss. Bob was near a stove, the smell that came from the pot was making Freddie’s mouth water.
“Come on, sit wherever you want,” said Bob without turning around. Then, they heard a crack, it was right above them!
“They are right above us! Get out! Get OUT!” shouted Bob. They frantically climbed, slithered and hopped out of the hole. A majestic Toucan stood in front of them.
“Hurry up, there’s not much time!” screeched Bill, “Climb on my back! Hold on!” then, all four of them were off the ground.
They couldn’t believe what was happening! Those humans had decided to build a camp, on top of Bob’s wonderful home.
“My home!” wailed Bob as Bill pearched on a tree. All four of them watched in silence as Bob’s home was destroyed.
“I heard that they will be here for weeks!” cried the great bird.
“That’s not good,” mumbled Bob. The others shook their heads.
“I believe that we should arrange an animal meeting at the old stump tomorrow. Search for all of the animals who want to help and ask them to rendezvous at the stump. We will meet sun touches the first tree.” The toucan surprised the others as he flew silently off.
It seemed like years passed before the meeting came the next day. Freddie had managed to bring some of his family and concerned cockatoos. Bob brought his family and friends while every snake accompanied Sarah. She had convinced some marching ants to attend. Lots of different types of birds, Kookaburras laughing at each other, screeching Toucans flew along with Bill. Bob also got the most important person in the rainforest come, the mayor.
“Silence!” roared the William the wombat mayor. “We have come from far and wide to discuss a very serious matter that will concern us and our children if we don’t act now.”
“What is this matter?!” asked one of the Kookaburras.
“The humans have finally arrived. We weren’t ready, that has caused for several homes to be lost. Bob’s home was the last one to be destroyed, and that is where the humans are! If we work together we can defeat these evil humans!” The thoughtful wombat looked around. He was pleased that everybody attended. When Bob was summoned up to talk his speech was very short, that everyone listened to it intensely.
“My home was destroyed! They have started to litter and ‘gulp’ cut down some of our trees.” Bob was saying this slowly so that everyone could hear. “These people are not the kind and caring ones, they are destructive and self centered. We should stand on our own two feet and strive forward to win our victory!” There was a loud applause, laughs and even shouts by his fellow animals. He felt very sad and considered that they should have some sort of plan. “I have got a plan so gather round.” The animals gathered around Bob and he discussed about how they were going to save the forest.
They discussed this problem well into the night, when finally Bob said, “we will follow plan A tomorrow night. That will give them a fright!” All of the animals were tired so they walked, hopped, scuttled and flew home. No one remained!
The next night, every creature went around to the campsite and picked up all of the rubbish to throw into the humans tents. The ants scuttled into the tents and placed a piece of rubbish onto the campers, then another, then another. Soon there was no more human litter left outside.
“That will teach them,” said Bob. He was very pleased about how everything was going. He reminded them that they must do part B tomorrow. Everyone was excited about what was going to happen.
The humans did exactly what they wanted them to do. They woke up the next morning and found the litter in their tents. They quietly cleaned their tents using a dustpan and broom, and put the rubbish in their truck. The animals were happy because their plan had worked!
Now it was time for part B. The following night, the animals worked again. At least twenty thousand ants silently marched in a long line into each human’s tent. That was enough biting to get every human up and screaming.
The humans looked like flying beetles. When they came close to the bushes animals would scratch or bite them. Those humans were never seen again because they had so many scratches and ant bites that they ran all over the country and landed somewhere where they couldn’t come back.
The animals were so very happy and their children got their own playground. They played in the truck that the humans left! Everybody was happy including Bob. He got a new home, better than his old one! Bob started up a new fantastic kitchen. All believed it was the hit of the year. Everybody went back to their usual quiet ways, happily doing their own things, including the mayor!

The Sparkling Forest - English Writing Story
This is my very first story that I wrote in grade 7!
It was a windy day outside the cosy home, which sat in the country. Inside the house Lysander was getting very impatient with all of the others.
“Hurry up you three!” boomed Lysander.
“Yes, yes. We’re coming!” answered Emma. There were four children in the Bloor family. Lysander was the oldest with Emma next in line, and then Manfred who gets his nose into everything! While Olivia, sweet little Olivia was the most boisterous of them all.
“Don’t be so picky!” shouted Olivia as she sprinted towards Lysander, he stretched his arm out and Olivia stopped dead in her tracks within 3 millimetres of his arm.
“Fooled you, again!” sniggered Lysander.
“I’d like to fool you one day,” said Manfred, as he walked out of his room.
“Yea, yea. I still fool you better than anyone else! Come on Em, I’m sure that we all want to go canoeing!” There were groans from the two younger children.
“Okay, okay, don’t be such a bossy boots!” shouted Emma, she walked out of her room. The Bloor children said goodbye to their mamma and papa, they all walked outside with coats on.
The canoes were sitting beside Lake Igraine. Manfred and Lysander jumped into one, while the girls climbed gracefully into another. The lake glittered in the morning sunlight. The mist began to roll in and soon they could barely see their hands in front of their faces! As they floated into the current, they all stared straight ahead, as if they had seen a ghost. There was a tumble as the water began to ripple. Emerging from the water was a large and strange island forest that was surrounded by water! This forest was sparkling like a million stars in the night sky.
“Wow,” gasped the children in unison.
“Let’s go in and explore!” piped young Olivia. They all nodded their heads in agreement.
As they paddled towards the forest, they felt like there were a thousand eyes staring at them.
“This place is getting creepy,” squeaked Olivia, “let’s go.”
“Who goes there?” there was some whispering from the trees. “Yes, are you saying that these are the Bloor children that will us drive away the evil campsite!”
Another voice cried, “you must not leave us here to die!” The children looked at each other.
The other voice came back this time a more softer and calmer. “Please help us; we are all in desperate need of kind hearted people like you! Don’t leave, we beg you!” The voice was ringing in Lysander’s ears.
“What do you want with us?” shouted Lysander into the dark forest. As he stood up the boat began to rock.
“Sit back down Lysander!” hissed Manfred, “we’ll tip over!” Lysander did as Manfred suggested.
“Who are you?” questioned Lysander, “Why can’t we see you?”
“You cannot see me because you don’t want to see me. Close your eyes and picture a Tiger. Done? Now, open your eyes.” said the voice.
There were gasps all around from the children, on the shore of the forest, there was a beautiful coloured unicorn. He or she (they did not know which) was standing on the shore. The unicorns body looked sleek and smooth, and the colouring was orangey-gold. This colour shined in to sunlight. The children were amazed at this unique colouring.
“Come on!” shouted the unicorn, “everybody is waiting.” The children were still stunned, then a voice broke their thoughts, “we haven’t got all day, move along now.” The canoes touched the shore with a little jerk.
“Sorry, how clumsy of me, my name is Lancelot, and your names must be Lysander, Emma, Manfred and Olivia.” She nosed each of the children as she said their names. “The council meeting is going to be held. So far they have captured err......... I’m no good with numbers....... 15........that’s it, 20 of us already!” Lancelot looked very serious.
“Don’t worry,” said Em as she stroked the great unicorn’s neck, “we’ll help you.” With this, the unicorn neighed very loudly.
When they arrived at the meeting, Olivia thought “This is the most boring thing I have done in my life!” She kept squirming as she sat on the ground.
Her brothers said crossly “Be Still!”
She heard that they were going to attack the enemy campsite early tomorrow morning! She became very excited. After the meeting was finished, the children were escorted back to their tent by Lancelot. There were guard animals everywhere.
An hour before dawn, Lysander started to wake Emma up first, but, she was already awake and sitting outside. After they woke the other two sleepy heads, they had breakfast. The two older children chose the sword and the two youngsters chose the bow and arrow. The whole camp set off for the fight that would end everything.
Three tigers that carried a branch that was on fire in their mouths. The evil tents were full of sleeping bodies and the distant sound of snoring could be heard. The tigers walked down each tent and placed the flame. As the tents started to ignite the people inside ran out within minutes. One of the magical animal stumbled on some nearby armour lying on the ground! Oh NO! All of the snoring stopped! The animals tensed! Within seconds, out came screaming soldiers from inside the tents.
The battle was very short. The animals didn’t kill the people but drove them away. Then, they heard some chitter chatters. The captured animals were freed and reunited with their families. A huge happy and loud party was held that night. Unfortunately, the Bloor children could not attend. As they silently scrambled down to their canoes, they heard a crunch. Behind them was....... Lancelot! The children said goodbye to the unicorn and left the shores of that Sparkling Forest, as they drifted into the current, they saw Lancelot nodding goodbye.
The children returned home to find their parents were not worried because they had only been absent for a few hours.
“At least all of the magical animals are safe for now,” commented Olivia. The others agreed and their dreams were all about their very magical adventure.

Shakespeare
The following is an example of what Year 7's did in English!
Shakespeare’s Romantic Comedies are not silly love stories. He created humour from the highs and lows of love.
Shakespeare wrote 17 Comedies, and majority of them have romance in the story line. I will be concentrating on the play, Much Ado About Nothing (MAAN) written in 1598 – 1599.
MAAN is today still an intriguing and mysterious play. It is also relevant today because people are still subject to human emotions, including, love, hate, jealously and joy. He created real places and people and in the confined offered by the natures of plays. He developed very complex interactions between them with brilliant, witty conversations or actions.
Today, Mills and Boon cheap love stories will not be here with in 400 years. Why do you ask? These stories are 1-dimensional.
Shakespeare used words and actions to build-up the connection between all characters. He has used a lot of different types of love, which makes the experience an unusual one. The men in this play even have love in their group, not only for girls, but also for their brothers in arms. He has also used the different love styles to create humour. The love between Leonato and Hero is very strong because they are father and daughter. He used a different type of love between Hero and Claudio as they were falling in love at first sight. (Marriage is a trap for people who want to be trapped.)
Whereas, Beatrix and Benedick are always at verbal war, and Shakespeare used deception war to create peace, harmony and love with each other.
Shakespeare’s love stories are not silly little love ditties but, examinations of the essence of what it means to be human.

The Road not Taken, Robert Frost - Poetry Analysis
The Road Not Taken
Robert Frost
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
The experience or subject about this poem is about decisions. In life, there are many decisions that need choices. Robert Frost is telling us that all of our decisions in life can have a large impact on us, later. I know that this poem is about decisions because “two roads diverged in a yellow wood,” the ‘two roads’ are two different choices.
The purpose of this story is to teach young children about how decisions can affect themselves. For example: If you make a wrong decision for the company (that you are working for), you could lose your job or worse. The poet wants us to know about life and what he went through.
The emotion in this poem is very strange, as it is about choices. The emotions, that the poem gives us, are excited and sad. The poet is excited because he has taken a decision that suited him. He is sad because he did not take the road that was a more common decision and he may not ever go back to that same spot. It is shown in this line, “I doubted if I should ever come back,” this explains that the poet does not know if that particular choice was the correct one, for himself.
Robert Frost’s technique is unique because he uses a lot of adjectives and old English, which is hard to comprehend, for example “and both that morning equally lay.” He was probably talking about universitary or job/s decision. He is telling this poem from his own experiences and it has a great effect on the reader. He is using his own experiences to tell other people about life and choices that it brings.
The poet has used some sounds to help entrance the reader. For example “I shall be telling this with a sigh,” he means that there were a few things that did not happen the way that he wanted, but, he still believes that he did the best thing for himself.
The poem is very well written and has a strong, but simple meaning. This poem has achieved its purpose and I shall take more time and care to when it comes to making large decisions, as I want to do as Robert Frost has done for himself.
Robert Frost
TWO roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh

English
At the moment, we are not doing much at school, in English. I have been enjoying my time with the class work this year, and I hope that I enjoy the work that we do next year. We did: The Silver Donkey (Term 1), The Dark Hills Divide (Term 2), Poetry (Term 3) and now we are not doing anything. We are creating a board game.

English
I really enjoy English because I can express myself with words, feelings and actions. I espically love writing stories. I chose a theme and decided on what the characters personality is like. I wish to become a writer when I grow up.
