I cautiously took one step towards my brother. He was sitting on a small mound, that grew into the ground. Even though his back was turned to me, I could tell that he was upset. In the distance, I heard the Ompa's call. They were beautiful creatures. At least 20 feet long and 10 high. Their shells were very valuable to the Valley in which I lived in. My thoughts were interupted by a loud sniff. My brother, Fi, was 5. As I took another step towards him he turned around, and I could see his face. It was tear streaked. The mound that he was sitting on seemed to shuffle as well. I knew that Fi had great powers, and he used them sparingly. I feelt the ground underneath my feet move! Suddenly, I was lying on my back, and Fi had my head in an arm-lock.
Fi knew that it was me, but he was too upset to see me. I gently stroked his arm, and he let go of my head very slowly and he too lied down next to me. I heard his soft breathing next to my ears. After a while, he got up and walked into the forest.
"You know that father is ill, and we all need you back in the Valley. After wandering tonight, please come home." I said to his back. I knew that he had heard me, but he kept walking on. I could no longer see him as the forest engulfed him. I did not move. I thought about my father, and how my mother died to protect me. The secret room that I had not showed anybody, how the stars were shining down on me and giving me advise. Even though I lived on Earth, there was a deadly forest that was killing anything in its path. We were the only valley left, apart from 2 other races of people, that hate our guts! I suddenly became very angry, how dare Fi leave the family to suffer last year, how dare mother die last year, how dare.... how dare.... I couldn't think of anything.
I decided to go home, when the Ompa's call was very close. I heard some trees snapping, then silence. There was no noise in the forest, except, what was that? I jumped to my feet, grabbed my sword from its scabbard from behind my back, and walked daringly into the forest. My blue dress reached t my knees, and my shoes were scruffed and old, but they were comfortable. I was wearing a brown belt with my sword, and containers for collecting specimens. I raced deep into the forest. Twigs and stones were scraping against my bare legs, but I didn't care. As I approched the Ompa, a hand came out of the darkness and wrapped around my mouth. I could not move. I was opening my mouth to attack my attacker when I saw who it was. Fi had been following me ever so silently, and he knew that I wanted the Ompa's shell. He motioned to me to be quiet, and then let go of my mouth. I then realised that my younger brother had carved his face with scars. He looked closer the 10 than the age that he was.
I opened up my pocket of mysteries and picked out an object. It was cirlular and silver. I threw it at the ground where we were standing. The object expanded into a small disk, it changed colour to white, became more cresant like and turned into a flyer. It is something in which we all use now-a-days for transport. Very efficient and quick!
