A Saying by me
I can always know when someone is lying, because they feel a guilt in their guts. They have the sad look in their eyes, and everybody lies in some point, so there you have it.

Poems II
The Stage
Getting up on stage is a real hard thing.
You get the wobbles,
Your heart beats faster,
And you don't know what to do.
When you get up on stage,
you look down and see;
Unsmiling faces looking at you.
You start to get the wobbles again.
Your first note is horrible,
and you know that this is going to continue,
So you take a big breath;
And get it right.
When you finish,
You take a bow
And walk off.
Then you tell yourself;
What was I scared about?
Friends
Having Friends is a golden thing,
and being a friend is a silver thing.
Friends are meant to stick up for you,
and help you when you have trouble.
Sometimes I wonder if my friends,
are my friends because I go something that they do not.
I makes me feel sad,
and lonley.
I sometimes want to shout at them,
Why are you doing this to me!
And they are also doing it to themselves.
I feel sorry for them.

Poems
These following peoms are my direct feelings and these things are true and they are about what I have done and what I feel. I hope that you enjoy them, even though they are very depressing, I just had the write these down!
Lonley
Being lonely,
I feel it,
I touch it,
I am it.
I cannot tell my friends what is wrong,
because they would laugh and walk away.
They are my friends because I know that,
they will not walk off when I tell them.
Confused
Left or Right?
Up or Down?
I always get confused.
Nobody understands me,
and I don't talk in a straight line.
I can understand them.
Sometimes, being different is hard,
espically for me.
I talk, walk and have a different approach to things.
Some teachers encourage this,
others do not,
and I say this out of my own heart.
I always feel that I don't belong.
I always want to have my own way,
and read my book.
I feel lonley and scared,
but I know that being different is good.
But I still wonder;
Why are they confused?
Control
When I go outside,
I can feel the breeze
blow across my cheek.
and then I feel a terrible thing!
I comes from inside of me!
I feel it bubble and boil
and enrage me!
It is something that I cannot control,
and sometimes I cannot understand,
why people don't realise that there are two of me.
Sometimes I am happy,
And sometimes I fall down,
and I even get angry with myself!
I don't know what to do,
because my friends don't understand me.
My mother is no help at all.
I don't know what to do,
and sometimes, I don't know what to do,
or where to go.
So I stay still,
and hope that that thing inside of me,
is Controlled.
My Best Friend
Being yourself is the best that you can be.
My Best Friend is a person/thing that knows my emotions.
They know when to come to talk to me,
and know when to leave me alone.
My cat is always there for me.
She purrs and tells me things that only I know about.
She tells me that she loves me,
and will always be in my bed.
My books are my friends,
even though they cannot talk to me,
I can tell what they are thinking,
And they take me away from the world that we live in.
I don't know who else is my friend/s.
I don't know who to trust,
or who to tell my problems to.
This is because, I don't know who I am.

Fried Green Tomatoes
In English this Term, we are watching the movie, "Fried Green Tomatoes". I love this movie and have watched it many times!
It is a story both set in the past and the present. It is a passionate story about living, loyalty and love. Idgie is a young girl (in the beginning) and is a tom-boy, where as Ruth is a brought up lady who always does right and knows what to do.
It is also a story about friendship and how ladies need to show the men what they are made of and that we are not just their toys, but as human beings with feelings.
I would recommend this to anybody who loves a great story and is ready for the unexpected.

Film Studies
Hey. In English this term, we are doing Film Studies. Did you know any of these terms? I sure did!
Frame - Dividing line between edges of screen image and the enclosing darkness
Cinematic shots - defined by the amount of subject matter within the frame
ELS - Extreme Long Shot - taken from a great distance
LS - Long Shot - shot taken from a distance to show landscape, a building or a large crowd
MS - Medium Shot - shot between long and close-up - taken from waist up
CU - Close-Up - shot of small object or face to fill screen - adds importance
ECU - Extreme Close-Up - Small object or part of face that covers whole screen
Over the Shoulder Shot - two figures, one to the back and other facing
Types of Angles
Bird's Eye View - Directly over the top of object
High Angle - h/a - Looks down at what is being photographed - general overview
Low Angle - l/a - Below the subject - increases height and power of subject
Oblique Angle - lateral tilt of camera - falling out of frame
Point of View - POV - a vantage of a particular character or what the character sees
"Eye-Level" - Roughly 5-6 feet off the ground - actual observer might view a scene
Camera Movement
Pan - Horizontally on fixed base
Tilt - Up or down on fixed base
Tacking (Dolly) Shot - through a space on a wheeled track (or dolly) - stays on same plane
Boom - Up or down though space
Zoom - Not a camera movement - shift of focal length of camera lens to give the imperssion that the camera is getting closer or farther away
Getting from Scene to Scene
Cut - Transition between scenes where one ends and another begins - Most Common
Dissolve - Gradual transition where one scene is superimposed over the beginning of another
Fade-Out/Fade-In - scene gradually goes dark or emerges from dark
Wipe - optical effect in which one shot appears to push the preceeding one from the screen
Iris - Optical effect in which one shot appears to emerge from a shape
What this means - Basic elements - to tell the basic elements of film that a director can use to tell his/her story - Through editing, these shots are put together to create a coherent story.

Quote - Mother Teresa
"Never worry about numbers.
Help one person at a time,
and always start with
the person nearest to you."
Help one person at a time,
and always start with
the person nearest to you."
English
The things that I love about English!
1. We use it in our every-day lives
2. We can be expressive and show emotions
3. We can tell other people of our experiences
4. We can tell people about things, NOT face-to-face
5. Writing stories helps the imagination
6. We cannot escape it!
7. We can read other people's stories and their lives
8. We can do many things with it!

Writing
I haven't written here for a while because I have been really busy!
The newest book that I am now reading is..........(drum roll)............. Watership Down!! This fascinating book caught my attention on the bookshelf and I am having a great time! The story is about one rabbit, in particular, named Fiver and his brother Hazel embark on a journey where no rabbit has ever gone before!! (Cough Cough!)
I would recommed this book to anybody who loves animals and espically loves reading!!!
